In the second edition of Lleida Climbs we devoted a chapter to the sandstone bouldering area of El Cogul. During the production of the most recent (third) edition of the guidebook, even with an additional 48 pages (+ another 16 by getting rid of the index) it became obvious that if we wanted to be able to include the huge number of new single-pitch sport climbs created in the area over the past few years we would have 'free up' more space by sacrificing something from the second edition. After careful consideration we decided to omit all multi-pitch routes longer than 4 pitches (we no longer consider that foto-topos alone, without the benefit of descriptions and/or line drawings, provide sufficient information for routes of this length) and also the bouldering in El Cogul and Cavallers. Cavallers now has its own dedicated bouldering guidebook, but that is not the case with El Cogul, and we are therefore providing a digital version of the content that appeared in Lleida Climbs 2nd edition here.
